Timesheet

Time & Expense Entry
Timesheet allows employees to enter, review and modify their daily time and expenses. Employees do not need direct access to QuickBooks; rather they simply log into an Intranet website to submit their time. Employees only see projects to which they are assigned. Billability is determined automatically via the selected project, but is overridable if necessary.



QuickBooks Integration
Timesheet is integrated directly with QuickBooks; time entries can be uploaded to QuickBooks at the click of a button, or entries can be scheduled to upload on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Changes to the submitted time can still be made via the Timesheet web interface, even after it has been submitted to QuickBooks.

Once time has been submitted, it appears as if it was entered directly in QuickBooks. The time can be attached to invoices inside QuickBooks using the "Time/Costs" button on the QuickBooks "Create Invoice" form.



Reporting
Timesheet provides an easy to use web-based reporting interface, so that employees and managers can easily review time. Users do not need to have QuickBooks installed to run reports. Reports can be filtered and summarized by client/project, item, employee, billable status, and date.

Administration
Administration is also done through a web-based interface, providing the ability to add clients, projects, items and employees without needing direct access to QuickBooks. Existing projects, items, and employees can be imported from QuickBooks (no re-entry necessary). Administrators can also modify employees' existing time and expenses, if needed. Access to each admin area is controlled by access roles that are applied to logins.

A "reminder" emails employees daily or weekly if they have not entered time for the previous day or if their weekly time doesn't add up to the expected amount. Employees can also be "locked out" of entering or modifying time too far in the past.
