ResWare™ Features: Action Items™

For a real estate business to run efficiently, each transaction must complete certain milestones correctly and at the right time. These milestones determine if the transaction will complete successfully and on time. In ResWare™, we call each of the milestones an Action Item™, and the total set of milestones an Action List™.

An Action Item™ is a task that an employee needs to complete, such as sending a letter to a seller, or receiving a contract from a broker. Through the life cycle of the customer file, Action Items™ become due, and employees are prompted to complete each item. When an employee completes an action item, they mark it "complete" within the system. This leaves very little room for the important steps on a customer file to be missed.

From the moment the customer file is opened, Action Items™ are triggered to define what needs to happen next. For instance, if an employee must confirm an order with a client two hours after the file has been opened, that Action Item™ will appear on the employee's home page immediately after the file has been opened.

Action Lists™ are defined through an administrative interface, and can be changed as business needs require.

Action List™ Assignment	An Action List™ is assigned to each customer file when it is created. The Action List™ dictates the set of actions that need to be fulfilled for the file to be brought to completion. Individual employees are assigned roles in the file that correspond to tasks. These tasks appear on the employee's Personal Action List™ on their home page.
Action List™ Modification	Once a customer file has been created, its Action List™ can be modified: employees can add new actions, remove actions that don't apply, reorder actions in the list, change due dates, mark tasks complete, and attach notes to individual Action Items™.
